INTRODUCTION

Lexis helped promote Coca Cola’s successful Coke Zero 007 Skyfall campaign, as well as the Diet Coke promotions with Karl Largerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs. After the campaigns were over, they were left with approximately 100 presentation box sets which had never been on sale to the general public, together with promotional glasses that had been reward gifts for the Coke Zone website. In addition, special triangular presentation packs were left over from the Karl Largerfeld campaign as were a number of box sets from the Marc Jacobs promotion.

IMPLEMENTATION

Collection was arranged and paid for by us from Lexis’s London offices, using one of our recommended carriers. Aware of the huge interest that would be generated amongst Coca Cola collectors together with those of Karl Largerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs and James Bond, we immediately listed these items on our eBay store. Selecting the eBay Charity option allowed us to list items, whilst allocating a percentage of the final selling price to a charity of Lexis’s choice, with Gift Aid enabling the charity to further benefit from the UK Government tax coffers. Interest in these items was unprecedented and included bulk sales to collectors and dealers in both Coca Cola and James Bond memorabilia together with admirers of the three fashion designers.

IMPACT

Children in Need benefitted directly from each sale and Lexis were sent regular updates regarding progress of sales.
